Roll & Bloom currently carries no affiliate links, no sponsored content, no paid placements and no commercial relationship with any manufacturer or retailer. Nothing on this site earns us anything if you click it or buy from it.
Where we link to a retailer or a manufacturer, it is because that page is the evidence for a number we have published, usually a roll dimension or a price. Those links are there so you can check our working. They are not recommendations and they earn us nothing.
We plan to fund the site with display advertising, and we may add affiliate links to retailers in future. Both are ordinary ways to pay for a free tool and we would rather say so plainly than pretend the site runs on goodwill.
If and when that happens, three things will be true. This page will be updated on the day it changes, not afterwards. Any link that earns us a commission will be labelled as one where it appears, not only in a policy page you have to go looking for. And no product will ever be recommended, ranked or included because it pays better than the alternative.
The calculators exist to tell you how much to buy. If a calculator ever tells you to buy more than you need because more is worth more to us, the entire site is worthless. So the arithmetic is published in full on our methodology page, every buffer is adjustable by you, and every correction we make to a formula is logged there with the date and the reason. If we ever quietly inflate a number, that page is where you will catch us.
Display advertising will be clearly distinguishable from our own content. Advertisers have no input into what we publish, no advance sight of it and no ability to have anything removed. We do not accept paid guest posts, paid links, or "sponsored" guides.
